1. he is a coward for what he did. he killed innocent people, not bullies. and then killed himself instead of giving real explanations or taking punishment like a man.
2. his parents should be checked out for their parenting
3. bullies should not be blamed because there are ways of dealing with that other than murder.
These three idiotic points were made by anon. on a web-forum clearly populated by mentally deranged republican pre-teens. BLACKSBURG, Va. - Long before he killed 32 people in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, Seung-Hui Cho was bullied by fellow high school students who mocked his shyness and the strange way he talked, former classmates said.
Once, in an English class, the teacher had the students read aloud and, when it was Cho’s turn, he just looked down in silence, Davids recalled in an interview with The Associated Press.
Finally, after the teacher threatened to give him a failing grade for participation, Cho started to read in a strange, deep voice that sounded “like he had something in his mouth,” Davids said.
“As soon as he started reading, the whole class started laughing and pointing and saying, ‘Go back to China,’” Davids said.
hmmmm, clearly not a hint of bullying here!
I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. But it always follows events like these, the shooter is quickly labeled coward/evil/insane/marlyn manson fan in order to appease the baying mob and as you know impartial, objective understanding then becomes virtually impossible once a label has been applied.
Not that there is much lessons to be learned from this one, this one's a bit of a no-brainer... That line "...go back to China" I believe pin points the guilty parties in this story. Seung-Hui Cho is clearly a Korean name, however it demonstrates ignorance and that nobody took the time to get to know him, rather they all banded together to unite in the torment of a kid who was a little different, or even a lot different. And I'm not sticking up for him or anything here, it's just worth remembering, that like everything else that happens in this crazy mixed-up world, there is always another angle other than that which the media reports. Most people I talk to appear to adopt the first opinion they hear on any subject as their own, and scarliy they seem to have subscibed to moron tv.
Trust no-one, question everything... newspapers, magazines, TV news are all dictated to by their sponsors who in turn bow down to the mass market therefore they aim to avoid controversy at all costs. Take time to think and form your own opinions.
"The difficulty of maintaining your own beliefs in the face of others. We all have a great need for acceptance, but you must trust that your beliefs are unique, your own. Even though some people may think them odd or unpopular.
