Let me begin by stating that I actually quite like emos in a way. If for no other reason each time somebody goes emo it’s one less person turning “ned” which, I’m sure you’ll agree it never a bad thing. They like to read.... cool! And their chicks are hotter than j-lo wearing a bikini, eating a bowl of chillie, in a sauna on the sun*
So there are some plus’s to having emos living amongst us. However there are also hidden dangers to keeping an emo. 1 Don’t get them wet. 2 keep them out of direct sunlight it’ll kill ‘em. 3, Under no circumstances, whatever you do, no matter how much they beg, DO NOT feed them after midnight... no wait, that’s something else. The downside to emo keeping, apart from the obvious pretentious poetry writing... I am the prince of darkness, I am the enigma, nobody understands me, and nobody feels my pain..... Please f**k me!
The thing that gets me is this persecution complex they all harbour; people don’t like us just cos we look different. First off, they all look the same with their black uniforms and standard issue piercings/hair dye and clad in their grandparents pee soaked clothes. in reality it’s the opposite that’s true. They all tend to flock together and would never dream of befriending anybody more mainstream. I’m sure there will be one or two exceptions to this general rule; however they’re probably art students who see themselves as an ‘enid’ type looking for her Seymour project.
I reckon’ it’ll be like politics, we’ve had emo, next they will come out with ‘new emo’. As for me, I’m going to hold out for ‘real emo’
*Not including the fat pigs that dye their hair pink in order to look interesting.
